GREAT….What are the next steps?
Decide on a location in your home that your student will conduct school.
Make certain that you have a working computer with a functioning camera.
Make certain that you have internet access.
Get your child a set of earbuds or headphones.
Get supplies and ensure your child is ready for Monday August 24th.
Make certain that your child has uniform shirts, as they will be required to wear.
ACTION/TO DO: Call OCMS 352-264-9940 and schedule an appointment for your welcome call during the week of August 17th though August 21st - AM and PM appointments are available.
Week of August 17th through August 21st:
You will receive a welcome phone call from ONE of your child’s teachers.
Both you and your child should be available to be on that call.
The teacher will review OCALI LIVE! with you and answer any questions you may have.
During this call they will confirm your phone numbers and email addresses.
After the call they will send you your child’s login information for Google Classroom/Suites and their OCALI LIVE! Schedule.
Invites will be sent out for your child to join each of their Google Classrooms. Students will need to accept the invitations, in order to be ready to start school on Monday August 24th.
Why are the Google Classrooms so important?
This is where your child should go at the start of every class period.
Directions for the day, including links to video conferencing will be on the teachers google classroom.
Assignments will be posted on the Google Classroom each day.
